This garlic butter oven baked tilapia recipe is a quick, delicious dinner perfect for weeknights. Juicy fillets soaked in garlicky butter, baked to perfection.
Ingredients
4 tilapia fillets
4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 lemon (juiced and zested)
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley (chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Pat tilapia fillets dry and arrange them in the baking dish.
In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, zest, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Pour mixture over the fish. Spread evenly to coat each fillet.
Bake for 12–15 minutes until the fish flakes easily and is opaque.
Optional: Broil for 2 minutes for a golden top.
Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices. Serve warm.
Notes
You can substitute tilapia with cod or haddock.
Add a splash of white wine to the butter mixture for deeper flavor.
Pair with a salad or garlic rice for a full meal.
