- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice.
- 2 cloves garlic, minced.
- 1 tsp smoked paprika.
- 1 tsp chili powder.
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional).
- 1/2 tsp cumin.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- 8 small corn or flour tortillas.
- 1 cup shredded cabbage.
- 1 avocado, sliced.
- 1/2 cup pickled red onions.
- 1/4 cup cilantro leaves.
- Cotija cheese (optional)
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
Make Marinade
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic, paprika, chili powder, cayenne, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Marinate Shrimp
- Add shrimp to marinade and toss to coat. Let sit for 15–20 minutes.
Cook Shrimp
- Heat a skillet over medium-high. Sear shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until cooked and crispy
Warm Tortillas
- Warm tortillas in a skillet or wrap in foil and heat in the oven.
Assemble Tacos.
- Add shrimp to tortillas, then top with cabbage, avocado, onions, cilantro, cheese, and lime juice.
