Easy Spicy Shrimp Tacos

Description

These Easy Spicy Shrimp Tacos are quick, bold, and crispy — perfect for a weeknight dinner with vibrant toppings and a zesty homemade marinade.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined.
  •     2 tbsp olive oil.
  •     2 tbsp fresh lime juice.
  •     2 cloves garlic, minced.
  •     1 tsp smoked paprika.
  •     1 tsp chili powder.
  •     1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional).
  •     1/2 tsp cumin.
  •     Salt and pepper to taste.
  •     8 small corn or flour tortillas.
  •     1 cup shredded cabbage.
  •     1 avocado, sliced.
  •     1/2 cup pickled red onions.
  •     1/4 cup cilantro leaves.
  •     Cotija cheese (optional)
  •     Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

Make Marinade

  •  In a bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic, paprika, chili powder, cayenne, cumin, salt, and pepper.

Marinate Shrimp

  •      Add shrimp to marinade and toss to coat. Let sit for 15–20 minutes.

Cook Shrimp

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high. Sear shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until cooked and crispy

Warm Tortillas

  • Warm tortillas in a skillet or wrap in foil and heat in the oven.

Assemble Tacos.

  •       Add shrimp to tortillas, then top with cabbage, avocado, onions, cilantro, cheese, and lime juice.
