Description

Rich, chewy, chocolatey homemade brownies made from pantry staples. Easy to bake and impossible to resist.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8” pan.

Melt butter and mix with sugar until glossy.

Whisk in eggs and vanilla until smooth.

Sift in cocoa, flour, and salt. Stir gently.

Fold in chocolate chips.

Pour into pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 22–28 minutes until center is set.

Cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For cleaner cuts, refrigerate before slicing.

Swap butter for coconut oil to make it dairy-free.

Add walnuts or pecans for extra crunch.
