Description
This quick beef and broccoli stir fry is a restaurant-quality meal made at home. Loaded with savory-sweet flavor and tender-crisp veggies, it’s perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
2 cups broccoli florets
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch (for marinade)
1/2 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (for slurry)
2 tbsp oil (for cooking)
Instructions
Slice beef thinly and mix with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil; let marinate 20 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, sugar, and slurry.
Heat oil in wok, cook beef in batches until browned, remove.
Add broccoli to the pan with a splash of water, stir-fry until tender.
Return beef to pan, pour sauce over, stir well.
Simmer 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
Serve hot over rice, garnished with sesame seeds or scallions.
Notes
Use tamari for gluten-free version.
Add red pepper flakes for heat.
Store leftovers up to 3 days.
